On to finished knits . My right shoulder has been tormenting me, so not much knitting has taken place chez moi . I did however finish my broadripple socks . I just love the colours, especially the orange and purple .
The yarn : Lana Grossa Meilenweit Merino, gifted to me by my father . Knit on 2,0mm DPNs . This is a easy , fun pattern that shows off self-striping yarns really well . These will be my Socktoberfest socks and the SAM6 KAL contribution . The seemingly never -ending baby blanket is still on the needles . I'm hoping to get a little bit further ahead on it tonight while watching the election results . With a little help from a tylenol and tea .Depending on the results I may be needing more than one pain killer . Let's just say I'm not a fan of Stephen Harper and the Conservatives , but also have issues with the loyal opposition parties . It's terribly frustrating to vote federally in Quebec if you are not a separatist /nationalist . It really feel like an exercise in futility , but in some ways it makes it even more essential to cast a vote . So wherever you are today and you have the right to vote , do it !

I agree with you, it's not easy to choose from what's given for this election, but nevertheless it's important to vote, especially as a woman, since it's not that long ago, that our vote did not count. I'm a Canadian Citizen since 2005 and it's the 4th election I went to vote.
Your socks are nice, I like the colores too.
Congrats on your 100th post.
Your socks look great. Broadripple knits up so nicely with the self-striping yarn.
We are on our way home and will watch the election in our hotel room by computer!
Broadripples are always a good choice for striping yarns. Love them!
I stopped on the way home from work to vote. Hubs is on the road and didn't make an earlier poll. (He was in Montreal this morning. Surely he's on his way back with another load by now.) I don't think I've missed a vote since I turned 19. Not that I'm into politics or anything, but I figure since I vote I can complain about the government.
Saturday is our local election for councillors. The mayor didn't have anyone run against him, so he's safe. This year we have four to pick from in our district.
